In India, the BYD Seal is anticipated to have a dual-motor setup with 530 horsepower.

The MG Comet is a compact electric car that is a born-electric skateboard platform, allowing it to have a mono volume shape, making it the smallest car in India. The interior is spacious, with a massive glasshouse and large door pockets, but it is also narrow, with fixed head restraints and seats set high. The Comet has a high level of perceived quality, with superb plastic quality and soft-touch materials. The steering controls are reminiscent of the click-wheel of the Apple iPod from 22 years ago. Maruti Suzuki C-MPV, also known as the Ertiga, is a popular compact multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) produced by Maruti Suzuki in India. The C-MPV is designed to provide a spacious and comfortable interior with a combination of features of both a sedan and an SUV. The C-MPV is built on the HEARTECT platform, which is also used in other Maruti Suzuki cars like the Swift and Baleno. It is powered by a 1.5-liter K15B petrol engine that produces 103 horsepower and 138 Nm of torque, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission. The C-MPV also comes with a mild-hybrid variant that features a lithium-ion battery and an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG), providing an additional boost to the engine’s power output and improving fuel efficiency.

Nissan X-Trail

Nissan India displayed three new SUVs last year, including Juke, X-Trail, and Qashqai, to selected media and dealership partners. The X-Trail is expected to be the first to launch in India by September, just before the festive season. The X-Trail will be expensive as it will arrive in India via the CBU route, but it will have a hybrid powertrain to keep running costs low. It will offer the company’s e-Power hybrid technology and will be available in both FWD and AWD versions. The X-Trail’s hybrid powertrain will offer two options: a 163PS, 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5L turbo petrol with strong hybrid tech, providing 204PS and 300Nm of torque in a 2WD setup and 213PS & up to 525Nm in a 4WD setup.
