Teacher’s Day 2022: How Apple is helping thousands of teachers in India via free course

As India celebrated Teacher’s Day, Apple announced that it is assisting thousands of educators in India through its free professional learning programme ‘Apple Teacher’ in preparing students for the new digital era. The programme assists educators in developing fundamental iPad and Mac skills before guiding them through the process of integrating Apple technology into everyday lessons, resulting in a portfolio of work ready to share with leadership, peers, and beyond.

About The Course

Apple Teacher, which was launched in India in September 2019, provides school teachers with the tools they need to connect with all learners using iPad and Mac, according to the company. The Apple Teacher Learning Center is regularly updated with new tutorials, templates, and lesson plans.

“Apple has played an integral role for me as a technology integration specialist. When I first started using iPads in the classroom 11 years ago, it turned out to be a breakthrough in portable and user-friendly technology which opened multiple learning avenues for every kind of learner,” said Sana Noor, Apple Teacher-Primary ICT Coordinator, Pathways School Noida. “As of today, learning in my classroom happens through Apple devices and students of all ages enjoy the apps for learning and creation,” she mentioned.

Hundreds of free Apple-created resources are available in the Learning Center, ranging from guided tutorials to lesson plans and hands-on teaching materials. Educators can earn rewards through the Apple Teacher programme as they learn new skills and create more engaging lessons.

Kirti Trehan, an Apple Teacher-ICT Coordinator at Prometheus School said that Apple has been a game changer for her teaching “by being able to challenge and excite the students using its amazing apps”.
