Samsung launches Android 13-based UI 5 beta program: What all to expect

Samsung has announced the launch of its OneUI 5 Beta programme for its Samsung Galaxy S22 series, which includes the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. This is based on Android 13, which includes new features for customization, security, and accessibility.

Android 13-based UI 5 beta program Features

Tailored Look and Feel

One UI 5 update includes several customizations, including up to 16 preset colour themes based on wallpaper and 12 additional colour options for home screens, icons, and quick panels. Stacking widgets of the same size in a single location saves space and creates a cleaner, more organised appearance.

Enhanced Language and Sound Settings

With reorganised menus that provide easy access to all ringtone volumes and vibration intensities, One UI 5 streamlines the process of changing sound and vibration settings. It allows users to choose their preferred language for each app in Settings.

Additional New Features

  • Other new features included in the One UI 5 update include improved camera capabilities and security resources for more accessibility tools.
  • In Pro and Pro Video mode, a new icon provides helpful tips and tricks for using the various lenses, features, and controls. A more responsive zoom bar allows for faster close-ups and makes it easier to focus on the subject with just one hand.
  • A new dashboard in One UI 5 allows users to view their phone’s security status, identify security issues, and recommend solutions.

You can register for the beta program via the Samsung Members app. Liked this post? Don’t forget to check out our other short stories in our Quick Read section.
