Emergency Teaser: Kangana Ranaut Transforms Into Indira Gandhi, The Former PM.

Kangana Ranaut is a versatile and very fine actor who never fails to impress people with her bold statement and her acting has finally kick-started the shooting of her much-anticipated film Emergency. The first look at Kangana Ranaut in this movie has finally been unveiled by Kangana herself via her Instagram account.

The actor took to Instagram on Thursday and shared her first look as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. She also shared an intriguing teaser of the film, captioned: “Presenting ‘Her’ who was called ‘Sir’.” #Emergency shoot begins.’ We must say that she has aced the look of the Iron Lady.

The video opens with a staff member approaching Indira Gandhi to enquire if she can be addressed as ‘madam’ by the President of India. She initially says yes but tells the man to inform the President that in her office she is referred to as ‘sir’ and not ‘madam’

Speaking about the movie, Kangana Ranaut said in a statement, “Emergency reflects one of the most important periods in Indian political history which changed the way we view power and that’s why I decided to tell this story. Moreover, playing a public figure on the screen is always a challenge because one has to get the look, the characteristics and the persona right. I spent a significant amount of time researching the subject and once I felt I had enough ammunition, I commenced the film’s shoot.”

Kangana’s transformation in this movie has been done by renowned prosthetic makeup artist David Malinowski, who worked for films like Darkest Hour, World War Z, and The Batman.
