Apple Event: What all They have launched!
Apple’s biggest event of the year is over. The Apple event, dubbed ‘Far Out,’ introduced the iPhone 14 series. This event was noteworthy because it was Apple’s first live event since the pandemic began in 2020. The event was attended by a select group of employees at Apple Park in Cupertino, and it was also live-streamed online. Apart from the iPhone 14 series, Apple also released the Apple Watch Series 8 and the AirPods Pro 2. Let’s explore more about it!
Apple Event 2022: Launches
iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus
Apple has finally unveiled the iPhone 14 series. The standard model is a minor upgrade over the iPhone 13, whereas the iPhone 14 Pro models have received some significant and intriguing changes that will undoubtedly appeal to a large number of customers.
The good news is that those looking for a larger screen and battery at a lower cost will be able to get them with the new iPhone 14 Plus variant. The iPhone 14 has a 6.1-inch screen, while the iPhone 14 Plus has a 6.7-inch screen. The devices feature an OLED screen with a peak brightness of 1-200nits and Dolby Vision support. Both iPhones feature the same A15 Bionic chip found in last year’s models. The phones will be available in five different colours: midnight, starlight, blue, purple, and product red.
iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max
The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus both feature the same A15 Bionic chipset found in the iPhone 13 series. The design is also identical. Better cameras with larger sensors, as well as a new 12MP selfie camera with autofocus, are among the enhancements. These phones lack ProMotion, but there is a new Emergency SOS feature via satellite. This feature allows you to send SMS without cellular reception by pointing your iPhone 14 to a satellite hovering above Earth. Of course, the SMS UI will point you in the right direction to get satellite reception.

Airpods Pro 2
Apple has unveiled the AirPods Pro 2, also known as the new AirPods Pro (2nd generation). The ability to take a picture of your ears using the iPhone’s TrueDepth camera to create a profile for personalised spatial audio is one of the new true wireless noise-cancelling earbuds’ highlights, as is an advanced computational audio algorithm that eliminates twice as much noise as the original AirPods Pro. They have a longer battery life, with 6 hours of listening time on a single charge and an additional 24 hours in the charging case. They are priced at ₹26,900
Apple Watch Series 8
Apple has unveiled the Apple Watch Series 8, its latest wearable device. It comes with a new temperature sensor. The Apple Watch Series 8 also includes advanced crash detection, a new safety feature. A 3-axis sensor and a new accelerometer power the feature. The feature is intended to save lives and will automatically notify authorities if the Apple Watch detects that the user has been involved in a serious accident. It also introduced a low power mode, which increases the battery life of the watch to 36 hours. The Apple Watch Series 8 can also connect to cellular networks in other countries thanks to Apple’s global partnership with over 30 carriers. It is available in four different colours and three different dials.
Apple Watch SE
The new Apple Watch SE includes the core Apple Watch experiences, such as Activity tracking, high and low heart rate notifications, and Emergency SOS, as well as the new Crash Detection feature and a completely redesigned back case that matches the three classic case finishes.
Both models run watchOS 9, which includes new and more customizable watch faces like Lunar and Metropolitan, an improved Workout app, sleep stages, a first-of-its-kind AFib History feature, and an all-new Medications app.

Apple Watch Ultra
The new Apple Watch Pro is described as a smartwatch “designed specifically for exploration, adventuring, and endurance.” This means it’s designed for hardcore runners, triathletes, divers, hikers and extreme sports athletes. To help protect the Ultra’s flat sapphire glass screen, the case is thicker and has a larger bezel that wraps around it. The Watch has been designed to withstand “below zero” and up to 130-degree environments for people in extreme conditions such as snow. Water resistance is listed at 100 metres in depth. The most noticeable change is the addition of a new customisable action button alongside the digital crown. The left-hand side-facing action button is programmable and can be used to activate various apps or activities.
Apple Watch Ultra straps
The Ultra has a different strap selection than the standard Apple Watch 8 and SE 2. You can select from Alpine Loop, Trail Loop, and Ocean Band options.
The Alpine Loop option is a base cloth band being marketed as the one for most people. It has a woven orange fabric strap and a custom clasp mechanism that allows you to quickly and easily adjust the fit on the fly. Trail Loop is intended for hikers and features a multicoloured elastic band that is intended to keep you comfortable even on longer hikes or runs. Ocean Band, as you might expect, is marketed to divers, surfers, and swimmers. The band has a water-resistant strap and a twin-clasp design. It is priced at Rs 89,900.
