Who doesn’t love cricket and who doesn’t love T20? That’s precisely why an event like T20 World Cup starts making waves even when it is months away. This new promo from International Cricket Council (ICC) made waves, literally, when a giant avatar of Rishabh Pant emerged out of Sydney Harbour. ICC shared the video of Rishabh Pant’s giant avatar emerging out of Sydney Harbour in a tweet on July 10, 2022 morning.

The promo is a part of the series of promotions that ICC plans to undertake to promote T20 Men’s WC 2022. ICC has dubbed this promotional campaign the BigTime campaign. This is not the first promo that ICC has shared. Earlier, we saw Glenn Maxwell’s giant avatar walking on the streets of Melbourne in a similar video shared by ICC. Interestingly, a few days ago Pant had challenged Maxwell and asked him to wait for his time.
Rishabh Pant captioned the video with “Is this all you can do @gmaxi_32 ? Let me show you how it’s done!” Well, now we know that it was just a build-up to the next promo from ICC as part of their BigTime campaign. It isn’t difficult to guess that we will see more of such BIG avatars making appearances as a part of the BigTime campaign.
The event is scheduled to take place in Australia between Oct 16, 2022 to Nov 13, 2022. What’s going to make the T20 WC even more exciting is that India will play its opening match with Pakistan on October 24, 2022. India will be a part of Group 2 which will also have Pakistan, Bangladesh and South Africa along with Group B winner, and Group A runner-up.
