But did you know that there are resembling places in India, that are equal if not more beautiful than tourist spots in other countries and it is even friendlier to the pocket for you to explore the beauty of nature?

It’s time to add new places to visit your bucket list. Go on and look at these picture-perfect places in India that resemble foreign tourist spots and some are even better than the foreign locales we have been seeing in Bollywood movies.

1) Swiss Alps, Switzerland and Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir, India

The famous honeymoon spot for all the married couple is Switzerland, but why go somewhere far when there is even more beautiful scenery at Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir. The beautiful snow bedded mountains and frozen lake are the beauty of both the Swiss Alps and Gulmarg.

2) Hanimaadhoo Island, Maldives and Lakshadweep Islands, India

From the wallpapers on our Windows computers/laptops to the real deal, the Sahara desert is truly the largest hot desert in the world but, who has the time to visit every edge of the desert with countless miles of sand. The Thar Desert in India is the resembling twin of The Sahara desert with huge dunes of sand and the rides on the camels making it no less than the real deal.

7) Mt. Figi Switzerland and Khajjiar, Himachal Pradesh, India

After the humid stormy desert, we would want to go to a timider and greener land with indescribable beauty that brings our hearts to a standstill. Instead of going to a far land like Mt. Figi in Switzerland, we can visit a hill station in Himachal Pradesh which has the nickname of “mini Switzerland” named Khajjiar. The Greenland and hills live up to its nickname making its place on the bucket list.

8) Niagara Falls, Canada and Chitrakote Falls, Chhattisgarh, India

One of the famous tourist spots in Cannada, Niagara Falls has an overflow of tourists not just from Canada but also from the USA as it is the border between the two countries. There is a resemblance of Niagara Falls in India and it is known as Chitrakote Falls in the state of Chhatisgarh after traveling miles together from Odisha. The droplets in the air touching your skin as the sound of water crashing bring a sight of refreshment for anyone who visits either one of these waterfalls.

9) Nā Pali coast state park, Hawaii and Skandagiri Hills, Karnataka, India

This is for all the hardcore trekkers out there who like to reach the summit and see the beauty of nature, may it be the sunrise or the sunset. You don’t have to travel all the way to Hawaii to see the beauty of nature as Skandagiri hills which can project the same or even better.

10) Denali National Park, Alaska, USA and Nag Tibba, Uttrakhand, India
