Masoom Minawala, a fashion blogger who is gaining fame by the day is more commonly known as #MissStyleFiesta. She is an ideal fashionista; so much so that a lot of people are inspired by her multi-talented nature. She is a very family-oriented woman as she believes that the support of her loved ones such as family and friends definitely goes a long way.
She is great at what she does as she never fails to impress. She is amazing at channeling her inner creativity. The fashion blogger also loves to dance in her free time. She inspires many people, for starters she even notes down everything she feels she is thankful for, on a daily basis.
But it just doesn’t end here, there is so much more to her. This young entrepreneur in an interview with an online magazine, Minawala was asked, what did it take to be a successful influencer and how did she become THE #MissStyleFiesta. She replied that she always had an interest in fashion, she knew that deep down this was the path that she wanted to take and her passion for fashion is the reason behind her success.
Masoom Minawala as a Tomboy?
Masoom had always been a tomboy in school. She was the football captain, like anyone who plays football would know, you tend to get dirty. A lot of things took a turn when she came to 12th, she all of a sudden, became aware of fashion and was now interested in it.
When most of us were applying to colleges, she got an internship with Brand Marketing India, her main focus was on a very important side of the fashion industry.
She got the opportunity she wanted and this led to “constant interests,” as she states, she then did other internships as well with big companies like Calvin Klein. In a matter of time, she was off to London to continue with her studies, eventually finding her niche for fashion blogging.
She returned to Mumbai, then started working on her website, StyleFiesta.com. She believes this website is a great portal for fashion.
There are a lot of bloggers out there, but she believes that the key is to be genuine and honest when it comes to the content you put out there. She believes that this can be done best when you are being yourself and when you aim to express your own individualistic style. She says that Influencing is just about all of this.
When asked about the “Insta-age,” and how influencers focus on looking perfect rather than being realistic, she opined that this notion was one misleading factor.
Fashion bloggers or Style influencers always show what they do. In this, they get the choice whether they want to show the happy side or the ups and downs. Minawala believes social media is “give a voice a voice.” kind of a platform.
She is very real as a style influencer and she frequently talks with her viewers and her readers. Seeing her stories you can see that she isn’t afraid to talk about the ups and downs, this is what makes her genuine.
The challenges she faced
She has to change 4 developers before she could set up her e-commerce website. She found this beyond stressful. She says “I am still looking for a developer to give me the site in Magento.
Style Fiesta is now hosted on Shopify and I have taught myself basic coding so I don’t need to rely on another person, I don’t remember a time I’ve ever done anything with a fear of failure. Even if I have a bad idea, I say to myself, ‘What’s the worst that could come out of it?’”
She has come a long way, she worked her way up and built her own army of fans. An inspiring young lady with a lot of talent.
“Style, for me, has always been a representation of my personality. How an artist expresses his emotions through his paintings, I express my ideas, my opinions and my individuality through my dressing. Rule number one of being stylish – be an inventor of your own style. I have so many days where I can’t imagine wearing anything but yoga pants and there’s no fashion guru in this universe that can stop me.”
