IPL is back and so is the fantasy cricket fever. A plethora of changes in the teams and captaincy in addition to a new franchise Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) has made Tata IPL 2022 very interesting. The same changes also make winning in fantasy cricket very challenging for the players. Therefore it is important to study everything very carefully before you form your teams. Like every year, Piccle brings to you IPL2022 Fantasy League Hot Tips & new rules that you must know.
In the past, we have helped you with tips on fantasy cricket including the best way to create a team, how to choose the captain and the vice-captain, how to choose the wicket keepers and a number of other valuable tips.
The IPL official site has launched the fantasy league platform in collaboration with Dream11. Today we are going to share with you the changes brought in by the fantasy apps which will help you play better than others.
Change #1 – New Boosters
In addition to the season-long boosters (Super Transfer, Triple-Impact, and DoubleUp), there are 6 new boosters available to fantasy players now on IPL fantasy league. These new boosters are limited-time boosters and are available for different categories of players like batters, bowlers, wicket-keeper etc. These boosters are Power Batter, Power Bowler, Power All-Rounder, Power Uncapped Player, Power Wicket-Keeper, and Power Overseas player boosters.
As these are limited-time boosters, these will be available to the players at different stages in Tata IPL 2022. For example, the Power Batter booster, which doubles the points of all the batters in your team, will be available only for the first four matches. Keep an eye on these boosters and choose your team accordingly.
As an illustration, for the first four matches, it would make sense to add one more allrounder to your team due to the Power Batter booster. There is a higher probability that you will get more points by adding an allrounder, due to better batting skills, than a regular bowler.
Change #2 – Man of the Match is back
After almost 6 years, Dream11 has reintroduced additional points for the Man of the Match. If the Man of the Match is a part of your team then you will get additional 50 points for that player. This change just provides you additional points and doesn’t need any change in the strategy as we trust that you would anyway pick the best players within your budget. But you’ll probably have to review your team-building strategy if your captain or vice-captain is missing the Man of the Match award repeatedly.
Change #3 – 130 Transfers available for league matches.
In this edition of IPL fantasy league, there are total 140 transfers available. However, 130 transfers are available from Match 1 to Match 70 only. The balance 10 transfers can be used in Matches 72, 73 and 74. The good news is that there are unlimited transfers available for Match 71 (to be held on May 25, 2022). This change, along with the boosters, should make you more sensitive towards transfers. If you use them wisely then you can get ahead of those making transfers recklessly.
We hope that these changes will help you prepare better for the fantasy season. We will soon be coming up with new IPL rules that you should be aware of, as these rules can change the way the game is played. If you wish to know about anything else related to Tata IPL 2022 or any specific fantasy tips then please do let us know in the comments. We wish you all the luck for a great season.
